The Five W’s are some of the most common questions asked when it comes to content. You know what we’re talking about, right? The Who, What, Where, When, and Why? Getting answers to all the W’s of content has been the talk of the town since COVID confined us to our homes, leaving us with only our computers and phones to communicate, connect, and sell. We gotta be honest. We don’t see this conversation dwindling down any time soon. Sound overwhelming? We get it! So let’s stop. Take a deep breath. Put all of the questions aside and focus on one. The why. Why is content so important?
You Attract Your Ideal Client
Your ideal client is attracted to your content marketing when you solve their problem by touching on pain points and/or inspiring them. Solve their problem and they’re coming back for more. Boom. Trust has been built. You want repeat customers, right? Well of course you do. For your ideal customer you’re a one-stop-shop, baby. When we like something, most likely we are going to share that with our friends and family. Customers who are loyal to your brand are major support when growing your business and by targeting your content to them, you’re solving their W’s and yours.
Your content has to have a structured focus in order to be a magnet to the clients you not only want to buy your service but the clients who want what you offer. When the stars align, the customer loyalty goes from “I bought this thing once and I love it” to “I bought this thing, I’m obsessed with it and you gotta get it too”. Dialed in content to your ideal client + ideal client who saw said content and bought your services = business growth and success.
Content Feeds Your Social Media Strategy
To establish genuine relationships with your customers, your social media platforms are a direct link that not only allows you to connect with them, but allows them to connect to your brand. The content that is featured on your social media is a pathway to not only have conversations but get feedback and push leads to your website. More website traffic increases the chances of collecting potential client information and brings in more sales. Don’t forget about the website content either. It’s all interconnected.
Now there’s only so much you can say through a text post on Instagram or a video on Facebook but it encourages your followers to have the desire to learn more. When we get a glimpse about a topic we are interested in, typically, we dive a little deeper. Education is the first step a potential customer takes when deciding what services do and do not work for them. Your social media strategy should contain content that is high in value to target your ideal client and send them into the depths of your brand.
Without content, attracting the attention in order to get leads, in order to convert those leads into sales will be quite a struggle. To be successful in your digital marketing, you have to create great pieces of content that speak to what problems you solve.
