Finally! Spooky season is back! Yes, we are those weird people who get WAY too into this holiday. We decorate our homes excessively, buy Halloween-themed clothing, and even put spooky stickers on our vehicles.

We also get to introduce Halloween-themed marketing tactics into our overall strategy. It’s the be(a)st! We love the spooky season so much that we decided to put together a list of exciting Halloween marketing ideas for you to use! They are top secret though and should not be shared. (Don’t make us haunt you!) Let’s get started:

Halloween Email Templates

Sending at least one Halloween-themed email in October is basically a requirement. It could be for a spooky sale, to promote a new product, to highlight an event, or it could be a fun Happy Halloween email. Halloween emails are great because they can create a sense of urgency for customers. Let them know they can only take advantage of this sale or buy this seasonal product until October 31st.

If you need some scary inspiration, go ahead and search through Google or go through Canva’s Halloween templates. There are a lot of great resources that will give you great ideas.Spooky Social Media Posts

Develop a Halloween-themed social media campaign with a series of eerie posts. Come up with a hashtag that fits your business and run with it. The content itself really depends on what you sell or what service you provide.

For example, maybe you could showcase how your products can be incorporated into Halloween decorations or how they could be used to contribute to a Halloween costume. You could even host a Halloween giveaway/countdown to stir up some engagement and increase website visitors.

You should also consider decorating your social media profiles themselves to fit the season. Change the profile pictures and add spooky emojis to your page description. Whatever you do, just creep it real!

Many parents prefer to go to retail locations when they take their children trick-or-treating because it feels safe and convenient. Of course, this only works if you have a brick-and-mortar location, but online stores could decorate their websites instead.

Send out emails and post on your socials about your event. Attract more people by offering a giveaway, coupons, or sales in-store only. Make sure you at least have a Halloween-themed display if you don’t want to decorate the entire store. Work with other local businesses around you to create a scavenger hunt to keep the kids entertained while they walk around gathering candy.
